We acquired the Clean Spice registered trademark in 2010 before launching the Clean Spice business that is the core of our future-oriented corporate strategy. Amari Spice Foods defines “Clean Spice” as the general name for spices that offer guaranteed safety and peace of mind thanks to sterilization of the highest level utilizing C&A’s advanced, distinctive technical skills. These spices are also delicious and fresh because they are made from high-quality ingredients. Before completing our Shiga No. 3 Factory, we also received Management Innovation Plan approval (2 Mo No. 529) in 2010 from Kyoto Prefecture on the theme of, “Sterilization technology development for and sale of ‘Clean Spices’ (low-bacterial-count spices) utilizing GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing technologies.” “Management innovation” refers to the development and production of new products, introduction of new product production methods, and considerably large management improvements through business activities. This was an official recognition of Amari Spice Foods’ new business aimed at creating Clean Spices of the highest level using our renowned GMP manufacturing technologies.
